El Aguila
El Aguila is an intentionally sunken cargo ship that rests under 100 feet of water. It’s been there for over 20 years and as such, plays host to a thick bed of coral and plenty of fish including grouper, eels, parrotfish and more. The ship has come apart into three sections which allows for exploration of some of the wreck’s inner spaces without the need for wreck diving certification.Mandy’s Eel Garden
Close to the Roatan resorts in West Bay, Mandy’s Eel Garden is just offshore, easily accessible and shallow which makes it a perfect dive spot for beginners. As the name suggests, several species of eel call the area home. Mandy’s Eel Garden is also known for frequent sightings of octopi, turtles, rays and barracuda.
